FOSS is a well-established multidisciplinary systems integrator. Operating throughout the UAE since 1999 we have developed a broad capability to design, implement and support business critical IT and networking solutions.
Customer requirements for physical security and CCTV solutions have risen exponentially in recent years across the globe due to rising concern for security and safety. In particular, the development of IP based CCTV systems and software based analytic features and functions allows the delivery of highly “intelligent” integrated, self-learning solutions which reduce the reliance upon human monitoring alone.
The advent of video analytics technologies allows the analysis of video footage in real time and detects abnormal activities that could pose a threat to an organisation’s security.
We are an authorised physical security solutions integrator with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We are registered and approved by Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), formerly known as Dubai Police Department of Protective Systems (DPS) and Abu Dhabi Monitoring and Control Center (MCC) for physical security solutions and maintenance services. Our engineers and technicians have been trained and are certified by the DPS and MCC.
We provide high performance network security solutions and services to all our customers. We specialise in the design and installation of intelligent security solutions for main verticals, such as government, education, healthcare, finance, enterprise and other sectors. We have a dedicated team of professionals: technicians, sales representatives, engineers and project managers who work together to deliver the best results in established timeframes. We collaborate with various leading technology partners that provide innovative equipment and solutions tailored to each of our customer’s requirements.
Based on open IP standards, IP based CCTV network cameras connect to any kind of IP network, including the Internet, and enable remote viewing and recording from anywhere in the world. They also provide advanced video analytics features, such as motion detection, audio detection and tampering alarm.
We are able to provide a wide range of IP CCTV cameras for enterprise video surveillance applications.
In an IP (network video) system, the cameras are connected over a standard Ethernet network. Video is either stored on a central computer server/PC, a Network Attached Storage (NAS) unit, or on SD cards inside each camera. A web browser can be used to view live video from a camera, but for handling recording and other functionality in the system, a video management software solution is needed. The video management software can be installed on the same PC as the storage, or on a separate PC. In some systems, the cameras have enough video management software built into themselves so that the user only needs smartphone/tablet apps to view live and recorded video.

IP based CCTV surveillance systems can now incorporate video analytic capabilities. Video analytics can transform standard CCTV systems into intelligent and effective detection and alert systems. CCTV technology is now capable of recognising faces of people, vehicles, animals and bags automatically. Integrated with CCTV video analytics, both facial and general recognition software systems are capable of counting, measuring speed and monitoring direction. For example, recognition systems can monitor the duration of time that people are present in a specific area or how long an unattended bag has been left. Some video analytics solutions are even capable of understanding colour. Intelligent video analytics software can recognise different behaviours and create an alarm on a user-defined rule, such as “person moving from vehicle to vehicle in a car park” or “large white vehicle parked in controlled zone”. Intelligent video can also improve the efficiency of control room operators, automate alarms for non-monitored systems, manoeuvre PTZ cameras to zoom into objects creating alarms and save time when searching CCTV recordings.
Many organisations now require that CCTV video images are recorded and archived continuously from all cameras for 90 days or more. With potentially large amounts of data being stored, the technology behind the compression employed and the architecture of the storage solution are critical to ensure these extended recording times can be accommodated. Similarly, the security of the stored data is important so that individual disk and equipment failures do not result in data loss.
We make sure to provide the right solution for our customers’ individual requirements by installing and configuring the latest equipment provided by our technology partners.

We offer both physical and logical access control systems solutions. Some of the access control solutions we provide are:
Partners:
Modern parking management systems consist of entrance and exit gate barrier units, parking guidance, car parking control, as well as garage payment system, parking counting systems in various types, which are all connected from manual to automatic pay stations and a car park management centre. We offer various systems that are based on the same software platform but use different types of access control media and payment options.
Speed Gates control the access of people into, out of and around buildings whilst blending into the design of the building to create an entrance area which welcomes the visitor. In order to meet high security requirements, Speed Gates use proven access control technology compatible with card readers, keypads, ticket acceptance devices or biometric systems to ensure integration of a solution that meets clients’ needs.
Speed Gates provide effective entrance security solutions in many applications where prevention against unauthorised passage and fast throughput of people is required from museums and schools to stadia, arenas and leisure centres.
Partners:
We provide Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) solutions and Parking Control Systems (RFID), as well as Vehicle Tracking Systems.
We offer Christie solution for CMCs, which uses new technologies to increase the operational efficiency of our customers. New networks and mobile technologies, combined with the increasingly distributed nature of businesses require an open, flexible, and more user-centric solution to the control room and other spaces. We manage to deliver a single-platform solution to manage and control security within our customers’ facilities premises.
Partner:
We provide LCD or LED video walls for control rooms. LED video walls are becoming very popular due to their ability to deliver seamless images, scalability to any size or shape, and excellent optimal characteristics that make video wall content look great from any angle.

Running a CCTV system is a complex task and requires a team with specialist knowledge and expertise. By outsourcing some or all of your facilities management, on a temporary or full time basis, you are gaining access to a team of highly experienced professionals with expertise in all elements of data centre operations. This approach leads to reduced business risk, increased operational efficiency and decreased costs.

Perimeter Intrusion detection:
FOSS provide support and maintenance as a standalone service or as one part of an overall CCTV facility management package. By regularly servicing your security system you greatly reduce the chances of component failure.
In addition to this we provide emergency response service. If a fault occurs that presents a risk to the uptime of your data centre it needs to be resolved as quickly as possible. FOSS offers several Emergency response packages with possibilities to attend the site within 24 hours to 4 hours, 7 days a week.
