Camper & Nicholsons were very concerned about the inadequacy of their existing security surveillance systems that had been installed, in phases, over a period of years. The existing CCTV systems were based upon non compatible technologies and consequently the effectiveness of the surveillance was severely diminished. They recognised that an upgrade to their current system was essential. This was to include an extension to the area of cover in the Marina restaurant area. The particular problem in the Marina was that very limited CCTV coverage existed.
FOSS was asked to perform a full audit of the legacy systems and troubleshoot the problems. Many of the cameras had stopped working and had not been properly maintained. Once the audit was completed revised designs were generated to provide full CCTV coverage in the Marina area, particularly where the expensive yachts were moored.
